Why can’t we book time against the billable project category and generate Project Invoice instead of using a non-billable? Can you please throw some light?
Hi Mohan, I don’t know what you refer to exactly and what should prevent you from posting time against a billable project? Maybe you can elaborate a bit?! Many thanks, Ludwig
Hi Ludwig, Thanks for the quick reply. I have posted my question twice as I couldn’t see it after I post the first time. Sorry about that.
Let me ask you differently – I have Time and Material Project. Can we book time against a billable activity for this project in time and attendance and Invoice the customer. Is it necessary to use Fee/Inventory Journal to Invoice the customer?
Hi Mohan,
You can of course use a time & material project and book time against it using the time and attendance functionality.
I thought that was a bit too easy to demonstrate 🙂 and wanted to show a scenario I came across a couple of times; that is invoicing customers based on units or a lump sum independent of the time worked.
Hope this clarifies things.
Cheers,
Ludwig
